My Dearest Rée
I hope this rather large sized Christmas card will not startle you & Geoffrey, who I devoutly hope will be by your side to support you when you receive this parcel.
I have long wished to give you & Geoffrey one of my Gouache Paintings and at last I hve selected two I like most & send them off in the hopes that they will please you as well. If not they can be changed for others when I come to London next month. (end of January).
I am very much in the dark as to your news & movements. Whereever you are my dearest, love to you & all best wishes for Christmas & New Year.
I am still in Corfe. I don’t quite know why – very quiet & busy living for my work alone – well – or moderately well with small circle of friends who understand my funny ways & are kind.
I look forward with the greatest joy to seeing you & Geoffrey again. Meantime my love to you all always. Frances
