Very Dearest Sis
The scarf is made by Mrs Mairet the best English hand weaver & the brooch is from Paris – will you wear them? Won’t it cheer you up to come over here for a bit before the world war swallows us all up. I was dreadfully sorry to hear that you had been ill. I met 2 young friends of yours, great admirers, the other day. They quite won my heart. Letter to follow – with all news.
Dearest love Frances
