Dear Mrs Field
I was so sorry to read in Saturday’s paper of your sister’s death. I am enclosing a cutting from the Press which you may not have seen – the Thompsons are friends of mine.
It is just over a year since I saw you in Wellington – how are you?
We have had an upsetting time lately. My father has needed a lot of attention at home for the last 2 years or so and this year has been in & out of hospital, now is in again. I’m afraid with no chance of coming out.
Hope to be able to go to Wellington before the end of the year, so look after yourself and be ready to hit the high spots with me.
Love Marion McCrostie
