Dearest Sissie
Arrived home at 7 tonight. Found Fanny settling down to patience with a couple of packs of cards on the dining room table & your mother washing up. Both said they had been having a very dull time. There is no letter from Geoff. It only struck me tonight that today is his birthday. I have not his address or would send him a telegram tomorrow. I enclose a letter from Mr O’Connor. Probably you saw him today and got some vegetables.
Will see you all on Saturday, probably in the morning.
There is nothing new. You will see that Buchanan is knighted, heavens knows why, and that Mrs Dr McGregor is dead.
Love to all, take care of yourself. Will.
