My Dearest Geoff
Ages since I’ve had news of you. Send a card as soon as you can dear boy. I keep hoping you may write to say you have leave. How ripping it will be when that good day comes around. Am busy with portrait commissions & not doing so badly All the more to spend on you when you come back again – we will have a great time.
Today is St Patrick’s & I send you a sprig of shamrock to bring you luck. I have started sowing seeds in the window boxes I have on the roof. The sun is shining quite genially now & I can keep several of my windows open.
Much love dear Geoff & write quickly – only a field card but it is enough. To know you are well is the great matter. Miss Williams always asks. Your loving Aunt Fanny.
