My Dear Geoff
I must send a line at once to say your letter has just reached me & how delighted I am that you are safe in England. I hope we shall soon meet. I want you to write me your plans as soon as you can so that, when possible, we can arrange a meeting. Of course I must see you before you leave for France – I am glad the voyage was so interesting. I wonder if you came by Panama. I left St Ives last week, spending a few days in London, and am now settled here for the summer with the beginnings of my Class. I was in Town during the big air raid, in fact was in the City at the Bank NSW. Only ½ hour before it happened.
Burford is not far from Oxford & it wouldn’t be very much out of your way to come here for a day or two if you can spare time - otherwise I will try & run up to London & meet you, tho’ it will not be very easy to get away once the Class starts. But we must meet somehow as I have said before.
How do you like England? Salisbury Plain must be pretty stifling in this heat.
Well dear Geoff let me know your plans & how you do. My love to you. Frances Hodgkins
