Brief Description
This work was first owned by the architect Sir Frederick Gibberd, who was influenced by Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, and F R S Yorke. He was responsible for designing a number of modernist blocks of flats in England. Stylistically, this work dates from 1929-1930, proving that Hodgkins returned to Cassis after her first visit in 1920-21.
